Defect
In the urea SCR system of the emissions control device, the heater wiring for the urea solution line was improperly fabricated and secured during manufacturing. Vibration during vehicle operation may cause the wiring to develop a broken wire. When this occurs, a warning lamp illuminates, the urea SCR system shuts down, and exhaust emissions may no longer meet the specified regulatory values.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the urea solution line with integrated heater wiring with the corrected part.
