Defect
During vehicle assembly, the bolt and nut securing the upper arm ball joint to the steering knuckle on the front suspension were improperly assembled and may not have been tightened to the specified torque. Continued use may cause the bolt to disengage. In the worst case, the steering knuckle separates from the ball joint, contacts the tire, causing a puncture and leaving the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the condition of the bolt and nut and tighten to the specified torque. If the bolt and nut have fallen out, install new replacements.

状況
(1)フロントサスペンションにおいて、車両組立工程の組付け作業が不適切なため、アッパアーム・ボールジョイントとステアリングナックルを締結するボルトとナットが規定トルクで締め付けられていないものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けるとボルトが外れ、最悪の場合、ステアリングナックルがボールジョイントから抜け、タイヤと接触することでパンクして走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
(1)全車両、当該ボルトとナットの状態を点検し、規定トルクで締付けを行う。また、ボルトとナットが脱落していた場合は、新品のボルトとナットを取付ける。
