Defect

The wing power unit mounting bracket was manufactured with inadequate weld quality control, leaving some brackets with insufficient strength. Continued use allows driving vibration to initiate cracks at the weld area; the cracks may propagate and cause fracture. In the worst case, the wing power unit may detach from the vehicle and obstruct other traffic.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, install an additional corrected bracket.

状況

 ウイングパワーユニット取付ブラケットにおいて、溶接管理が不適切なため、強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、走行振動等で溶接部に亀裂が発生し、亀裂が進展して破断、最悪の場合、ウイングパワーユニットが脱落し、他の交通を妨げるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、対策品ブラケットを追加し取付ける。
