Defect
On large trucks with leaf spring suspension, the surface finish of the ball sleeve at the V-rod center joint is improper, causing excessive friction between the ball sleeve and ball race. Repeated large inputs such as driving over steps or rough surfaces causes wear on the ball race and damage to the center joint housing. In the worst case, vehicle driving stability may be compromised.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the V-rod with a corrected part.

状況
①重ね板ばね式緩衝装置付大型トラックのVロッドにおいて、センタージョイント部ボールスリーブの表面加工が不適切なため、ボールスリーブとボールレース間の摩擦抵抗が大きくなるものがある。そのため、段差乗り越えなどの大きな変動等を繰り返し受けると、ボールレースが摩耗し、センタージョイントのハウジングが破損して、最悪の場合、走行安定性が損なわれるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、Vロッドを対策品に交換する。
