Defect
On large trucks compliant with 2016 emissions regulations, the side-illuminating lamps are mounted in improper positions. Additionally, on vehicles equipped with an auto-light function, an incorrect automatic on/off program may prevent the side-illuminating lamps from turning off when the low-beam headlights extinguish under certain operating conditions. As a result, the vehicles do not satisfy the requirements of Road Vehicles Act Safety Standards Article 33-2 (side-illuminating lamps).
Corrective action
Remove the bulbs and wiring from the affected lamps on all vehicles to permanently disable the side-illuminating lamp function.

状況
平成２８年排出ガス規制対応の大型トラックの側方照射灯において、取付位置が不適切である。また、自動点灯（オートライト）機能を装備した車両の自動点灯／消灯プログラムが不適切なため、操作条件によりすれ違い用前照灯が消灯した際に側方照射灯が消灯しないことがある。そのため、道路運送車両法の保安基準第３３条の２（側方照射灯）で定める要件に満足しない。
改善措置
全車両、当該灯火器から電球および配線を取り除き側方照射灯としての機能を廃止する。
