Defect
On heavy-duty low-floor four-axle trucks, the air brake system's resonance characteristics were not sufficiently evaluated during development, allowing resonance to occur near the air tank at high vehicle speeds. This subjects the retaining straps to repeated stress, causing fatigue fracture of the straps. With continued use, the air tank becomes unsecured and contacts surrounding brackets and components, damaging the air line connections and causing an air leak. A brake air pressure warning lamp illuminates and an audible alarm activates. In the worst case, braking force at the front or rear wheels is lost.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the air tank bracket with a corrected part, and replace the air tank retaining straps and associated components with new parts.

状況
大型トラック低床4軸車のエアブレーキにおいて、共振に対する検討が不十分なため、高車速域でエアタンク周辺で共振することがある。そのため、固定ストラップに繰り返し応力がかかり、当該ストラップが疲労破断し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、エアタンクが浮動してブラケット等と干渉しエア接続部等が損傷しエアが漏れ、ブレーキエア圧力低下の警告ランプ点灯及び警報が鳴り、最悪の場合、前輪もしくは後輪のブレーキが効かなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアタンクブラケットを対策品と交換すると共に、エアタンク固定ストラップ等も新品と交換する。
