Defect

In the automatic transmission, the shift hydraulic pressure control program within the engine control unit is improperly calibrated, allowing hydraulic pressure to rise excessively during gear changes. Repeated aggressive acceleration can damage the clutch pack inside the transmission, leading to poor acceleration. In the worst case, the vehicle may become inoperable.

Corrective action

For all vehicles, reprogram the shift hydraulic pressure control program in the engine control unit to the corrected specification.

状況

 自動変速機において、エンジン制御用コンピュータ内の変速油圧制御プログラムが不適切なため、変速の際、油圧が過度に高くなることがある。そのため、急加速等の使用を繰返すと変速機内のクラッチが損傷して加速不良が生じ、最悪の場合、走行不能になるおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、エンジン制御用コンピュータ内の変速油圧制御プログラムを対策仕様に修正する。
