Defect

On four-wheel-drive vehicles, improper torque application during clutch tube installation leaves insufficient clearance between the clutch tube and the front propeller shaft. During vehicle operation, vibration causes the clutch tube to contact and wear against the front propeller shaft, resulting in a clutch oil leak. In the worst case, gear changes become impossible.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the clutch tube with a conforming part and replace the front propeller shaft with a new part.

状況

 4輪駆動車において、クラッチチューブの締付作業が不適切なため、当該チューブとフロントプロペラシャフトの隙間が狭いものがある。そのため、走行時の振動等で当該チューブがフロントプロペラシャフトと干渉して損傷し、クラッチオイルが漏れ、最悪の場合、変速できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、クラッチチューブを良品に、フロントプロペラシャフトを新品に交換する。
