Defect
The front body control module contains an integrated wiper relay whose contact structure and combination with the wiper motor are improperly designed. Heat generated during relay operation causes foreign matter to form on the contacts, which may become lodged in the relay drive section. This contact failure can prevent the front wipers from operating.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the front body control module with a corrected part.

状況
フロント・ボディ・コントロールモジュール（車両制御コンピュータ）において、内蔵されるワイパーリレーの接点構造及びワイパーモータとの組み合わせが不適切なため、リレー作動時の熱により接点部に異物が生成され、リレー駆動部に挟まることがある。そのため、リレーが導通不良となり、フロントワイパーが作動しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フロント・ボディ・コントロールモジュールを対策品と交換する。
