Defect
The intake valve spring load setting is insufficient, leaving the intake valves with inadequate closing force. As a result, the valves cannot crush carbon deposits trapped between the valve and valve seat, causing compression loss. This makes engine operation unstable and, in the worst case, may cause the engine to stall.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the intake valve springs with corrected parts. Because replacement is time-intensive, vehicles will be serviced in order from oldest to newest model year.

状況
エンジンの吸気側バルブスプリングにおいて、スプリング荷重の設定が不適切なため、吸気バルブの閉じ力が弱く、吸気バルブとバルブシート間に挟まる煤を押し潰すことができず、圧縮不良となることがある。そのため、エンジン回転が不安定になり、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、吸気側バルブスプリングを対策品と交換する。なお、交換に時間を要すため、年式の古い車両から順次交換する。
