Defect
In the automated mechanical transmission of hybrid vehicles, the controller's control program is incorrect, causing the transmission to engage a gear other than the commanded gear during operation. When this occurs, the warning light illuminates and the fail-safe control activates, disengaging the clutch and cutting drive force to the wheels. As a result, the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the automated mechanical transmission control unit with the corrected software.

状況
