Defect
In the automated mechanical transmission of hybrid vehicles, the controller's control program is incorrect, causing the transmission to engage a gear other than the commanded gear during operation. When this occurs, the warning light illuminates and the fail-safe control activates, disengaging the clutch and cutting drive force to the wheels. As a result, the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the automated mechanical transmission control unit with the corrected software.

状況
ハイブリッド車の機械式自動変速機において、コントローラの制御プログラムが不適切なため、走行中に制御と異なるギヤに噛み合うことがある。そのため、警告灯が点灯するとともにフェールセーフが働き、クラッチを切断して、駆動力が伝わらなくなり、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、機械式自動変速機制御コントローラの制御プログラムを対策プログラムに書き換える。
