Defect
The airbag control unit contains an incorrectly programmed control software. When a rear door is slammed forcefully, the side airbags, curtain airbags, and seat belt pretensioners may deploy inadvertently. In the worst case, unintended airbag deployment may injure vehicle occupants.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the airbag control unit with the corrected/updated software.

状況
エアバッグコントローラの制御プログラムが不適切なため、後席ドアを強く閉めた際に、サイドエアバッグ、カーテンエアバッグ及びシートベルトプリテンショナーが誤って作動することがある。そのため、最悪の場合、エアバッグ展開時に乗員が負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアバッグコントローラの制御プログラムを対策プログラムに書き換える。
