Defect

In the engine's blow-by gas recirculation system, some PCV valves were improperly assembled in an incomplete seating condition. As the vehicle ages, engine oil may leak from the insertion point of the PCV valve. In the worst case, engine oil drips onto the exhaust pipe, causing a vehicle fire.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, the seating condition of the PCV valve is inspected. If the valve is not fully seated, it is corrected to the proper position.

状況

エンジンのブローバイガス還元装置において、PCVバルブが不完全な状態で組み付けたものがある。経年劣化した場合、挿入部からエンジンオイルが漏れる可能性があり、最悪の場合、排気管にエンジンオイルが滴下して火災に至るおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、PCVバルブの挿入状態の点検を行い、不完全な場合には、正しい位置に修正する。
