Defect
During a production equipment change, insufficient verification of the manufacturing process resulted in two steel balls being incorrectly press-fitted into an oil passage plug hole in the engine cylinder head, blocking the oil passage. The resulting inadequate oil supply may cause seizure of the camshaft journal.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the engine with a non-defective unit.

原動機のシリンダーヘッドにおいて、生産設備変更時の検証が不適切なため、オイル通路の加工穴に穴を塞ぐためのスチールボールを誤って2個圧入したことでオイル通路が閉塞しているものがある。そのため、オイル供給不足によりカムシャフトのジャーナル部が焼き付くおそれがある。
改善措置
