Defect
The audio amplifier's speaker driver components, located near the cooling vents, lack protective circuitry. If foreign material causes a short circuit in these components, excessive current flows and damages them. This can cause the circuit board to catch fire and, in the worst case, flammable gases released during board combustion may ignite, resulting in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
Replace the audio amplifier on all vehicles with a unit containing driver components equipped with protective circuitry.

状況
オーディオアンプにおいて、冷却用開口部の近くにあるスピーカー駆動用素子に保護する回路がないため、異物等により当該素子が短絡すると、過電流が流れ、素子が損傷するものがある。そのため、基板が焼損し、最悪の場合、基板焼損時の可燃性ガスが発火し、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、保護回路付素子を搭載したオーディオアンプに交換する。
