Defect
The engine ECU control program has an incorrectly configured upper learning limit for correcting idle airflow. When carbon deposits accumulate on the throttle valve, the program may fail to compensate adequately, resulting in insufficient airflow at idle. As a result, the engine may stall at or near idle speed.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the engine ECU with the corrected/updated software.

状況
エンジンECUの制御プログラムにおいて、アイドリング時の空気量を補正する学習上限値の設定が不適切なため、カーボンがスロットルバルブに堆積した場合に、アイドリング時の空気量が不足するものがある。そのため、アイドリング回転付近でエンストに至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンECUのプログラムを対策品に書き替える。
