Defect
Due to improper manufacturing of the wiper switch, some units were assembled without grease applied to the contact points. Continued use in this condition increases sliding resistance at the contacts, causing them to deform. In the worst case, the contacts may fail to conduct, and the wipers may cease to operate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the wiper switch manufacturing number and replace any affected unit with a conforming part.

状況
ワイパースイッチにおいて、製造が不適切なため、接点部にグリスが塗布されていないものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、接点部の摺動抵抗が大きくなり接点が変形し、最悪の場合、導通不良となりワイパーが作動しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ワイパースイッチの製造番号を確認し、該当するものは良品と交換する。
