Defect

In the front suspension, the paint adhesion to the coil spring steel is insufficient. When sand or stones become trapped against the spring, the coating peels away and corrosion progresses prematurely. Continued use can cause the coil spring to fracture and, in the worst case, contact the tire, resulting in a puncture and leaving the vehicle inoperable.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the front coil springs with corrected parts.

状況

フロントサスペンションにおいて、コイルスプリングの鋼材に対する塗料の密着性が不足しているため、砂や小石を噛み込んだ場合に、塗膜が剥がれやすく、腐食が早期に進行するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、コイルスプリングが折損し、最悪の場合、タイヤと接触することでパンクして走行不能となるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、フロントコイルスプリングを対策品と交換する。
