Defect

On vehicles equipped with a vertical tail lift, inadequate process control during manufacturing left the lock handle retaining nuts insufficiently tightened on some units. Continued use allows these nuts to loosen and the lock handle to fall off. In the worst case, the stowed tail lift may open while the vehicle is in motion.

Corrective action

On all affected vehicles, inspect the tightening condition of the retaining nuts and tighten any that are insufficient to the specified position. If the lock handle has already detached, install a new handle.

状況

垂直式テールリフト装着車において、製造工程での管理が不適切なため、テールリフトのロックハンドル固定用ナットの締付けが不十分なものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ナットが緩んでロックハンドルが脱落し、最悪の場合、収納したテールリフトが走行中に開くおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、当該ナットの締付け状態を確認し、締付けが不十分なものは規定位置まで締付ける。なお、当該ハンドルが脱落している場合は、新品のハンドルを取付ける。
