Defect
On turbocharged vehicles, improper assembly of the parking brake cable allows the right-side parking brake cable to contact the fuel tank. Continued use causes the tank's protective coating to peel away, exposing the tank body to corrosion. In the worst case, the corrosion may perforate the tank and cause a fuel leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the right-side parking brake cable with a new part. Additionally, inspect the fuel tank; if contact marks from the parking brake cable are present, replace the fuel tank with a new part as well.

状況
過給機付車両の駐車用ブレーキケーブルにおいて、組付作業が不適切なため、右側駐車用ブレーキケーブルと燃料タンクが干渉するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると燃料タンクのコーティングが剥がれ、本体が腐食し、最悪の場合、穴が開いて、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、右側駐車用ブレーキケーブルを新品に交換する。また、燃料タンクを点検し、駐車用ブレーキケーブルとの干渉痕が確認された場合は、燃料タンクも新品に交換する。
