Defect
On heavy-duty trucks equipped with a 12-speed mechanical automatic transmission, the supply valve that controls air delivery has insufficient durability, causing some units to operate outside the specified control pressure range. As a result, insufficient air is supplied to the transmission control system, leading to shift faults. In the worst case, the vehicle may become disabled on the road. Note: If operation begins with adequate air pressure, shift faults will not occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the supply valve with the corrected/revised part. In addition, notify all operators of the importance of verifying air pressure before each trip and performing periodic inspection of the supply valve.

状況
１２段機械式自動変速機を搭載した大型トラックにおいて、 ①エアの供給を制御するサプライバルブの耐久性が不足しているため、制御圧の基準値を外れるものがある。そのため、トランスミッションの制御系に十分なエアが供給されずにシフト不良が生じる場合があり、最悪の場合、路上故障に至るおそれがある。 但し、エア圧が十分な状態で運行を始めれば、シフト不良は生じない。
改善措置
①全車両、サプライバルブを対策品に交換する。また、全ユーザに対し、運行前のエア圧確認とサプライバルブの定期点検の重要性についての注意喚起を行なう。
