Filing in context

The Shift Lever / Pedal is the most frequently cited component category in this archive, appearing in 22 of its 4,890 filings. This filing is one of 56 Mitsubishi notifications from 2015 in this archive. For scale, 3,235 of the 4,890 filings in this archive report a larger number of affected vehicles; the vehicles involved here were manufactured over a span of about 1 year and 1 month.

Defect

In the power transmission system, insufficient frame rigidity at the main shift lever mounting point allows the frame to flex, which may shift the pivot position of the main shift lever. Additionally, improper mounting of the transmission allows axle loads to apply rotational torque to the transmission case, which may alter the HST (hydrostatic continuously variable transmission) trunnion position. As a result, placing the main shift lever in the neutral position may not bring the machine to a stop.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, add corrected parts.

状況
