Defect
On large touring buses equipped with manually folding mirror stays, the mounting bolts on the mirror-side stay may loosen, causing cracks to develop at the mirror-side stay mounting point on the pivot assembly. With continued use, the cracks progress and, in the worst case, the left-side mirror may detach from the vehicle.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, as an interim measure, inspect the mirror-side stay mounting point and, if a crack is found, replace the pivot assembly with a new unit. A permanent corrected part will be substituted once the final remedy is determined.

状況
大型観光バスの手動格納式ミラーステーにおいて、ミラー側ステーの取付ボルトが緩み、回転部のミラー側ステー取付部に亀裂が生じるものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、ミラー側ステー取付部の亀裂が進展し、最悪の場合、左側ミラーが脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、暫定措置としてミラー側ステー取付部を点検し、亀裂が生じていた場合は回転部を新品に交換する。なお、対策が決定し次第、恒久対策品と交換をする。
