Defect
On large and medium-sized touring buses, the brackets securing the plastic covers of the roof-mounted air conditioning units were not given adequate rust-prevention treatment, causing rust to develop on those brackets. Continued use allows the rust to progress and weaken the clamping force of the brackets. In the worst case, a strong crosswind or similar force can lift the cover, fracture the attachment points, and cause the cover to detach from the roof air conditioning unit.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, rivet fastening is added to the mounting brackets of each roof air conditioning unit cover, and an L-shaped frame is added to the cover attachment points on the side cover frame.

状況
大・中型観光バスにおいて、天井エアコンユニットの樹脂製カバーを固定する金具類の防錆処置が不適切なため、当該金具類に錆が生じるものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該金具類の接合力が錆の進行によって低下し、最悪の場合、強い横風等を受けるとカバーが持ち上がって固定部が破損し、天井エアコンユニットからカバーが脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、各天井エアコンユニットカバーの取付け金具にリベットによる固定を追加すると共に、サイドカバー側フレームのカバー固定部にＬ字フレームを追加する。
