Defect
Improper welding of the passenger-seat airbag bracket has caused the weld to detach on some vehicles. Continued use places excessive load on the bracket's body-mounting points and may damage those mounting points. In the worst case, the airbag may not deploy correctly in a collision.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the airbag bracket serial number. On affected vehicles, replace the passenger airbag module with a conforming part. If the bracket side bracket has detached, also replace the steering support member with a new part.

状況
助手席用エアバッグブラケットの溶接が不適切なため、当該溶接部が剥れるものがある。そのまま使用を続けるとエアバッグブラケットの車体固定部に過大な力が加わり、最悪の場合、車体固定部が破損し、衝突時にエアバッグが正常に展開しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアバッグブラケットの製造番号を確認し、該当するものは助手席エアバッグモジュールを良品に交換する。また、エアバッグブラケットのサイドブラケットが剥離しているものについては、ステアリングサポートメンバを新品に交換する。
