Defect
A manufacturing defect in the acceleration sensor IC within the airbag control unit may cause the airbag system to malfunction. As a result, the warning lamp illuminates, and the airbag may fail to deploy in a collision or may deploy inadvertently while driving.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the airbag control unit serial number. On affected vehicles, replace the airbag control unit with a conforming part.

状況
エアバッグコントロールユニットにおいて、加速度センサＩＣが製造不良のため、エアバッグが作動不良となるものがある。そのため、警告灯が点灯し、衝突時にエアバッグが展開しない場合や、走行中などに誤展開するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアバッグコントロールユニットの製造番号を確認し、該当する車両はエアバッグコントロールユニットを良品と交換する。
