Defect
In certain driver-side airbag inflators, the inflator housing may rupture due to excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Fragments may scatter and injure vehicle occupants.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the driver-side airbag inflator is replaced with an alternative replacement unit in order of oldest model year first. Because sourcing the alternative replacement units requires additional time, as an interim measure until those parts are available, the affected inflators are replaced with new units of the current type.

状況
特定の運転者席側エアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ内圧で容器が破損して構成部品が飛散し、乗員が負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、運転者席側エアバッグのインフレータを年式の古いものから順次代替品と交換する。なお、代替品の準備に時間を要することから、部品ができるまでの暫定措置として、当該インフレータを新品と交換する。
