Defect
During the body welding process for light truck cabs, the automated underbody welding machine program is incorrect, resulting in an insufficient number of weld spots near the seat belt anchor points on some units. In a collision, the seat belt anchor area may deform, causing the seat belt to fail to restrain the occupant.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the affected welds. On any vehicle found to have insufficient weld spots, replace the cab with a known-good unit.

状況
小型トラックの車体(キャブ)の溶接工程において、アンダーボデー用自動溶接機のプログラムが不適切なため、シートベルト取付部付近の溶接打点が不足しているものがある。そのため、衝突時にシートベルト取付部が変形し、乗員を拘束できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該溶接部を点検し、溶接打点が不足しているものは、キャブを良品に交換する。
