Defect
Improper assembly procedures for the front shock absorber lock nut allow concentrated loading to strip the nut threads. Continued use may cause the upper mount to separate from the body, producing abnormal noise during driving. In the worst case, the lock nut, rubber bush, and retainer may fall from the vehicle and create a hazard for other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the affected components. If stem protrusion exceeds 10 mm, replace the complete front shock absorber assembly with a conforming unit.

状況
フロントショックアブソーバの固定用ロックナットにおいて、組み付け工程が不適切なため、負荷が集中した際にネジ山が潰れ、そのまま使用を続けると、アッパー側が車体から外れ、走行時に異音が発生することがある。最悪の場合、ロックナット、ゴムブッシュ及びリテーナーが落下し、他の交通の妨げとなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該部品を点検し、ステムからの突出量が10mmを超過している場合は、フロントショックアブソーバ(一式)を良品に交換する。
