Defect
On compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered route buses equipped with automatic transmissions, the engine control unit's idle speed control software is incorrectly programmed. When idle load fluctuates, engine idle speed may remain elevated. As a result, the automatic transmission may fail to shift out of neutral, and in the worst case, the vehicle may be unable to move.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the engine control unit software.

状況
圧縮天然ガス(CNG)エンジン搭載の自動変速機仕様の路線バスにおいて、エンジン制御ユニットのアイドリング回転制御プログラムが不適切なため、アイドリング時の負荷が変動すると、アイドリング回転が高くなったままとなることがある。そのため、自動変速機がニュートラルから変速しなくなり、最悪の場合、発進できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジン制御ユニットの制御プログラムを書き換える。
