Defect
On hybrid transit buses, the transmission control program is incorrect, causing the system to incorrectly diagnose a failure of the motor inside the gear shift unit. This causes the warning lamp to illuminate and the transmission to enter a fail-safe mode, preventing gear shifts. In the worst case, the engine may stall while driving, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the transmission control unit with a corrected part. Also inspect the serial number of the gear shift unit and replace any affected units with corrected parts.

状況
ハイブリッド仕様の路線バスにおいて、 ①トランスミッション制御プログラムが不適切なため、ギヤシフトユニット内部のモータが故障したと誤診断することがある。そのため、警告灯が点灯してフェールセーフモードとなり、変速ができなくなり、最悪の場合、走行中エンストして走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、 ①トランスミッション制御ユニットを対策品に交換するとともに、ギヤシフトユニットの製造番号を点検し、対象となるものは対策品に交換する。
