Defect
In the automated 6-speed manual mode transmission, the engine oil pan is improperly shaped, allowing rainwater and other contaminants to enter through the junction with the transmission. This causes the clutch lever pivot to rust and seize, preventing the clutch from disengaging. As a result, a warning light illuminates, protective control locks the gear in place, and the transmission becomes unable to shift.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected oil pan with the corrected part.
