Defect
On wheelchair-accessible lift-equipped vehicles, the tailgate hinge mounting area has insufficient strength. Repeated opening and closing of the tailgate may cause deformation at the hinge mounting area. Continued use in this condition may allow cracks to form in the tailgate, preventing the tailgate from closing properly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the condition of the tailgate hinge mounting area. If no cracks are present in the tailgate, replace the tailgate hinges with corrected parts. If cracks are present, replace the tailgate with a corrected part.

状況
車いすに乗ったまま乗降できる福祉車両において、テールゲ-トヒンジ取付け部の強度が不足しているため、テールゲート開閉操作を繰返すとヒンジ取付け部が変形するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、テールゲートに亀裂が生じ、テールゲートが閉まらなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、テールゲートヒンジ取付け部の状態を点検し、テールゲートに亀裂がないものはテールゲートヒンジを対策品と交換する。亀裂があるものはテールゲートを対策品と交換する。
