Defect
Analysis of field-returned driver-seat SRS airbag inflators has revealed abnormal internal pressure output that may lead to abnormal deployment. Although the root cause has not yet been determined, as a precautionary measure, inflators of the same type manufactured up to a certain date will be replaced.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, as a precautionary measure, replace driver-seat SRS airbag inflators with new units in order of vehicle age. All removed units will be collected for defect root cause analysis.

状況
運転者席側SRSエアバッグのインフレータ(膨張装置)において、市場から回収したものから、異常展開に繋がるおそれがあるインフレータ容器内圧の異常出力が認められた。このため、原因は判明していないが、一定の期間までに製造した同タイプのインフレータについて、予防的措置として当該インフレータを新品に交換する。
改善措置
全車両、予防的措置として、運転者席側SRSエアバッグインフレータを年式の古いものから新品と順次交換、回収して不具合原因調査を実施する。
