Defect
Instructions for adjusting the rear left and right door opening range are inadequate. When dealers or service facilities performed this adjustment, some technicians reused the bushings already installed in the exterior door handles instead of replacing them. Continued use can cause the reused bushing to break, allowing the rod connecting the exterior door handle to the door lock body to disengage. If the window glass is then lowered while driving, the displaced rod may be pushed by the glass and cause the door to open.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the rear exterior door handle bushings with new parts and affix a caution label at the exterior handle joint indicating that the bushing must be replaced during adjustment. The service manual for technicians will also be revised.

状況
後部左右ドアの開き具合の調整作業要領指示が不適切なため、販売店などにおいて当該ドアの開き具合の調整を行った際、ドア外側ハンドルに組み付けてあるブッシュを再使用したものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該ブッシュが破損してドア外側ハンドルとドアロック本体とを結合するロッドが抜け、走行中に窓ガラスを下げると抜けたロッドがガラスに押されてドアが開くおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、後部ドア外側ハンドルのブッシュを新品に交換するとともに、外側ハンドルのジョイント部にブッシュ交換のコーションラベルを追加で貼り付ける。また、整備事業者用サービスマニュアルを修正する。
