Defect
The worm gear section inside the power sliding door release actuator—which electrically releases the front and rear door latches—is improperly designed. When the actuator operates to open the door, the worm gear deflects excessively and may ride up onto the worm wheel gear and seize, preventing the door latch release lever from returning from the open position. As a result, the sliding door may not lock securely and, in the worst case, the sliding door may open while the vehicle is in motion.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the release actuator with a corrected part.

状況
電動スライドドアのリリースアクチュエータ（スライドドアの前側と後側のドアラッチを電動で開放させる装置）内のウォームギヤ部の構造が不適切なため、ドアを開ける際のアクチュエータ作動時にウォームギヤが大きくたわみ、ウォームホイールギヤに乗上げて固着すると、ドアラッチ開放レバーが開放位置から動かなくなるものがある。そのため、スライドドアが確実にロックされず、最悪の場合、スライドドアが走行中に開くおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、リリースアクチュエータを対策品と交換する。
