Defect
Investigation of field-returned units of a specific type of driver-side SRS airbag inflator revealed significant variation in the density of the gas generant. Although the root cause has not been determined, the airbag may fail to deploy normally during a deployment event. As a precautionary measure, the affected inflators are being replaced with new units.
Corrective action
As a precautionary measure, all vehicles are included under notification no. 3567, dated May 14, 2015. Driver-side SRS airbag inflators are replaced with new units in order from oldest model year. All removed inflators are collected for root-cause analysis.

状況
特定タイプの運転者席側ＳＲＳエアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、市場回収品を調査した結果、ガス発生剤の密度にばらつきが大きいものを確認した。このため、原因は判明していないが、エアバッグ展開時に正常に展開しないおそれがあることから、予防的措置として当該インフレータを新品に交換する。
改善措置
全車両、予防的措置として、平成２７年５月１４日付け、届出番号「３５６７」に含め、運転者席側ＳＲＳエアバッグインフレータを年式の古いものから新品と順次交換、回収して原因調査を実施する。
