Defect
The screws that fasten the door mirror body to its base lack a locking feature. Vibration and moderate external forces during normal use cause these screws to loosen over time. Continued use in this condition may, in the worst case, allow the mirror body to detach from the base, eliminating rearward visibility.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the screws connecting the door mirror body to the base with adhesive-type screws and tighten to the specified torque.

状況
ドアミラーにおいて、ドアミラー本体とベースを締結するネジに緩み止めが無いため、使用過程における振動や強めの外力によるへたりで当該ネジが緩み、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、ドアミラー本体がベースから外れ、後方の交通状況等が確認できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ドアミラー本体とベースを連結しているネジを接着剤付に交換し、規定トルクで締付ける。
