Defect
The front suspension frame is improperly manufactured, allowing corrosive substances such as salt water to corrode the lower arm mounting bracket on the suspension frame. Continued use allows the corrosion to progress until the lower arm mounting bracket fractures and, in the worst case, the lower arm detaches, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the suspension frame. If corrosion is found, replace the suspension frame with a conforming part. If no corrosion is found, apply rust-inhibiting agent to the lower arm mounting bracket area of the suspension frame.

状況
フロントサスペンションフレームの製造が不適切なため、塩水等の腐食促進物質によってサスペンションフレームのロアアーム取付ブラケットが腐食することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、腐食が進行し、ロアアーム取付ブラケットが破損して、最悪の場合、ロアアームが脱落して走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、サスペンションフレームの点検を行い、腐食が認められる場合は、サスペンションフレームを良品と交換する。腐食が認められない場合は、サスペンションフレームのロアアーム取付ブラケット部に防錆剤を塗布する。
