Defect
Inside the power window switch on the driver's door, grease has been applied incorrectly, causing it to accumulate between the switch contact terminals. Wear particles from the switch contacts then adhere to the grease surface, and repeated frequent switch operation may cause a short circuit between the terminals, resulting in a window malfunction. In the worst case, this may cause smoke and ignition, leading to a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the switch circuit board with a non-defective unit.

状況
運転席ドアにあるパワーウィンドウスイッチ内部の接点において、グリースの塗布方法が不適切なため、接点の端子間にグリースが溜まる場合がある。そのため、スイッチ接点の摩耗粉がグリース表面に付着し、頻繁な操作を繰り返すと、端子間が短絡してドアガラスが作動不良となり、最悪の場合、発煙・発火し、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該スイッチの基板を良品と交換する。
