Defect
In the passenger-side single-stage deployment control airbag inflator, the root cause has not been identified; however, the inflator housing may rupture during airbag deployment. As a preventive measure, the inflator will be replaced on all vehicles.
Corrective action
As a preventive measure on all vehicles, and as included under notification No. 3563 dated May 13, 2015, each inflator housing will be inspected for airtight integrity. Units that fail the airtight inspection will have the inflator replaced with a new unit or the passenger-side airbag function disabled. Once replacement parts become available, units will be replaced with new inflators in order from oldest model year. All removed inflators will be collected in their entirety for root-cause investigation.

状況
助手席用一段展開制御式エアバッグのインフレータ(膨張装置)において、原因は判明していないが、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ容器が破損するおそれがあることから、全車両予防的措置として、当該インフレータを交換する。
改善措置
全車両、予防的措置として、平成27年5月13日付け、届出番号「3563」に含め、当該インフレータ容器の気密点検を行い、気密不良のものは、インフレータを新品と交換、または助手席エアバッグの機能を停止する。 また、交換用部品の準備ができた段階で、年式の古いものから順次新品と交換する。 なお、交換部品については全数回収して原因調査を実施する。
