Defect
On light-duty delivery trucks, the starter switch electrical circuit is improperly designed, causing excessive current to flow through the switch contacts at engine start. Repeated switch operation causes the contacts to wear prematurely. Continued use allows vibration during driving to produce poor contact continuity, and in the worst case, the engine stalls and cannot be restarted.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reroute the starter switch electrical circuit wiring and replace the starter switch with a new unit.

状況
宅配仕様の小型トラックにおいて、スタータ（エンジン）スイッチの電気回路が不適切なため、エンジン始動時にスイッチの接点に流れる電流が大きく、スイッチ操作の繰り返しにより接点が早期に摩耗することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、走行時の振動等で接点が導通不良となり、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止し、再始動ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、スタータ（エンジン）スイッチの電気回路の配線を変更するとともに、スタータ（エンジン）スイッチを新品に交換する。
