Defect
On MC4 connectors used for solar panel connections, an improper manufacturing process has resulted in incomplete terminal crimping on some units. Poor contact causes the connector to fuse. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected connector with a new one and perform correct terminal crimping.
