Filing in context

Defect
On large buses, the accelerator wire attachment hole in the accelerator sensor lever is improperly machined, causing the lever and accelerator wire to seize together on some units. Continued use in this condition may cause the accelerator wire to fracture, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the accelerator wire attachment hole in the lever. Where seizure is confirmed, replace the accelerator sensor and accelerator wire with conforming parts.
