Defect

On the passenger door open-departure prevention device (accelerator interlock), the support position of the rod that blocks accelerator pedal depression while the door is open is incorrectly located. When the interlock is active and the pedal is depressed, the pedal mounting bracket may deform. If the pedal is then pressed laterally in this deformed state, it may disengage from the interlock rod, rendering the accelerator interlock inoperative. Alternatively, the pedal may become caught on the rod, preventing engine RPM from decreasing.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the complete accelerator pedal assembly with the corrected part.

状況

乗降口扉の開扉発車防止装置(アクセルインターロック)において、乗降口扉が開放中にアクセルペダルの踏み込みを防止するロッドの支持位置が不適切なため、当該装置が作動している状態でアクセルペダルを踏み込むと当該ペダル取付部が変形することがある。そのため、この状態で更にペダルを横方向に踏み込むとアクセルペダルが当該装置のロッドから外れてアクセルインターロックが作動しなくなる、又は、当該ペダルがロッドに引っ掛かりエンジン回転が下がらなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、アクセルペダル一式を対策品と交換する。
