Defect
An electrical wiring connector inside the instrument panel is mounted in an improper position, allowing condensation water from the air conditioning duct to enter the connector. Continued use in this condition may cause a short circuit at the connector terminals, resulting in erratic operation of the turn signals, horn, wipers, or headlights, and erroneous illumination of the airbag warning lamp.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, relocate the affected connector to the correct mounting position. Additionally, inspect the connector terminals and replace the connector with a new one if rust is found on the terminals.

状況
インストルメントパネル内部の電気配線コネクタにおいて、取り付け位置が不適切なため、空調ダクトの結露水がコネクタ内部に浸入することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該コネクタ内で端子が短絡し、方向指示器、警音器、窓拭き器、前照灯の誤作動やエアバッグ警告灯が誤点灯するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該コネクタの取り付け位置を変更する。 また、当該コネクタの端子を点検し、端子に錆がある場合は新品に交換する。
