Defect
Due to inadequate manufacturing instructions and process controls, the caps fitted to both ends of the underrun protection device have a radius of curvature less than 2.5 mm on some units. As a result, the underrun protection device does not conform to the required standard (UN R58).
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the caps using the specified inspection gauge. Where necessary, rework the caps to achieve a radius of curvature of 3.0 mm or greater.

突入防止装置の両端に付帯しているキャップにおいて、製造指示及び管理が不適切なため、当該キャップ部分が曲率半径2.5mmに満たないものがある。そのため、突入防止装置の基準(UNR58)に適合していない。
改善措置
