Defect
The electrical wiring for the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve is insufficiently long, leaving little slack near the connector. Engine vibration and similar forces place stress on the wiring at that location. Continued use may cause the wiring to develop a broken wire or disconnection, which in the worst case causes the EGR valve to malfunction, and exhaust emissions may no longer conform to Safety Standards.
Corrective action
Inspect the EGR valve electrical wiring routing on all vehicles. Where the routing is improper, add an extension wire and reroute the wiring correctly. Additionally, inspect the wiring for damage and repair any damaged sections.

状況
排出ガス循環装置(EGRバルブ)の電気配線の長さが不適切なため、コネクタ部付近の配線に長さの余裕が少ないものがあり、エンジンの振動等により、当該部に負荷がかかるものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、配線が断線し、最悪の場合、当該バルブが作動不良となり、排出ガス値が保安基準に適合しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該電気配線の状況を点検し、取り回しが不適切な場合は、延長用の電気配線を追加するとともに、取り回しを変更する。また当該配線を点検し、損傷している場合には、配線を補修する。
