Defect
On wagon vehicles equipped with roof rails, the weld securing the left roof rail attachment point is incomplete, causing the waterproof sealant near that attachment point to peel. Rainwater may then enter the vehicle cabin and reach the body control module, causing the power door locks and turn signals to stop functioning.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the left roof rail attachment point for water leaks. If a leak is present, repair the sealant at the attachment point, replace the body control module with a new unit, and inspect the module's electrical terminals. If corrosion is found, replace the associated wiring harness assembly with new parts.

状況
ルーフレール付ワゴン車において、左ルーフレールの取付部の溶接が不十分なため、当該取付部付近の防水シール材が剥離したものがある。そのため、雨水等が車室内のボディ制御コンピュータに浸入し、電動ドアロックや方向指示器等が作動しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、左ルーフレール取付部の水漏れの有無を点検し、水漏れがある場合は当該取付部のシール材を補修し、ボディ制御コンピュータを新品と交換するとともに、当該コンピュータの端子部を点検し、腐食がある場合は関連する電気配線一式を新品に交換する。
