Defect
The operating stroke of the clutch diaphragm spring—which presses the clutch disc against the flywheel—is set incorrectly. When the clutch pedal is fully depressed under cold conditions, excessive force is applied to the diaphragm spring. Continued use can damage the clutch diaphragm spring, causing the clutch to fail to disengage and rendering gear shifting impossible.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add a shim to the clutch master cylinder to limit the operating stroke of the clutch diaphragm spring.

状況
クラッチディスクをフライホイールに押し付けるためのクラッチダイヤフラムスプリングの作動ストロークの設定が不適切なため、冷間時にクラッチペダルを一杯に踏込んだ際、クラッチダイヤフラムスプリングに過大な力が加わるものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、クラッチダイヤフラムスプリングが破損してクラッチが切れなくなり、シフト操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、クラッチダイヤフラムスプリングの作動ストロークを規制するためのシムを、クラッチマスターシリンダーに追加する。
